More about Alan Grover

Alan grew up and went to school in Michigan, but has been a Baltimorean for the past decade. He is a city biker, which is his main mode of transit around the city. He is a founding member of Baltimore Node, a hacker space. He works with art students through MICA's course Unraveling the Code, where he works with students to design with the appropriate technology. The class travels to the Netherlands annually to collaborate with students at Willem DeKooning Academie, and to absorb the innovations of Dutch Design Week. He has worked with a variety of artists on incorporating technology in their work, and enjoys the challenge of each piece. When not doing technology Alan enjoys trips to Amsterdam, being an urban flaneur, discovering new places in Baltimore, reading, and barbecuing with friends.
